Kings Day in the streets
Not feeling like buying a ticket? No problem! The party is everywhere throughout the city! Simply walk through the streets, pass the canals and go with the flow. Our tip: To party between the locals of Amsterdam and get the real feeling of an Amsterdam citizen, you should go to The Jorndaan. The Jordaan is most popular and the people and music on the streets bring an amazing vibe!
Kings Day with the kids
Kids show their talent and sell their products at the ARTIS Zoo. Make sure you are an early bird, because it starts at 9.00 AM!

During Kings Day you will find flea markets throughout Amsterdam. Locals find the perfect spot in the early mornings to sell their second-hand clothes, decorations and many more. This doesn’t only happens in Amsterdam, but everywhere in the Netherlands… With all flea markets together, it’s one of the biggest flea markets of the world!
The biggest and most populair locations? Vondelpark, Museumplein and Rembrandtplein

There are less trains going to Amsterdam than usual and there are not trams and busses in the city centre. Always check GVB before you visit Amsterdam during Kings Day or ask the reception at our hotels!
